1. Who we are

EMKAY Luxury Living ("EMKAY", "we", "us") operates a luxury real-estate marketplace in Qatar and acts as the data controller of the personal data described in this notice. Contact: privacy@emkay.qa.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone, agency or developer entity, role.
• Verification data: Qatar ID, agency licence, supporting documents.
• Listing & lead data you submit through the platform.
• Payment metadata processed by Paddle (no card numbers reach EMKAY servers).
• Usage analytics: pages, searches, device type, IP address, approximate location.

3. Purposes & legal basis

We process personal data to (a) provide the marketplace, lead routing and analytics (performance of contract), (b) verify agents and prevent fraud (legitimate interest / legal obligation), (c) process subscriptions, top-ups and refunds via Paddle (performance of contract), (d) send transactional and marketing communications (consent, where required), and (e) comply with Qatar law.

4. Sharing your data

We share data with: (i) hosting and analytics providers acting as our processors; (ii) Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as Merchant of Record and processes payments, tax, invoices and refunds (see Paddle's Privacy Notice); (iii) the relevant agent, owner or developer when you submit a lead; (iv) professional advisers (legal, accounting, audit); (v) Qatar authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Verification documents are retained for 5 years after offboarding to meet regulatory requirements. Payment records are retained by Paddle and EMKAY for the period required under Qatar tax law.

6. Security

We apply industry-standard encryption in transit, role-based access controls, audit logging, leaked-password protection, optional two-factor authentication for admin roles, and Row-Level Security across all sensitive tables.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing by emailing privacy@emkay.qa. We respond within 30 days. You may also request unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in and analytics cookies (anonymised) to improve the platform. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.
